Granting Incentivio Access to the Square Portal

Before Incentivio can begin building out any new locations, adding the Incentivio Integration and granting access to the backend in Square is necessary. This guide will provide a walkthrough of the steps necessary to complete both of these steps.

Granting Incentivio Access to the Square Portal

Adding Incentivio's team as an employee in Square ensures that our team can gather the necessary credentials from Square to ensure that both systems are integrated successfully, that we have continued visibility to troubleshoot issues proactively, and that guests are minimally interrupted when issues arise.

To create a new Full Access Team Member:

  1. Visit Team in your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Select a current team member profile or create a team member profile.
  3. Under Permissions, click Edit. If you're adding permissions for a new team member, select or Enable Permissions.
  4. Select Team Permissions or create a new permission set with full access. Note: If you're creating a new permission set, you'll need to add a name for the permission set.
  5. Enable Full Access.
  6. Create or generate a passcode, enter integrations@incentivio.com as the team member's email address, and select Save.

 

Adding the Incentivio Integration in Square

Enabling the Incentivio integration in Square is necessary to ensure the connection between both systems, including pulling in menus, allowing orders to flow from Incentivio to Square, and for loyalty and gift card functionality.

Once our team has access to the Square portal, they will create the connection between Incentivio and Square. However, they are unable to do so until they have been granted access to the Square portal.
