Managing operating hours and holidays across multiple systems can be cumbersome. To help streamline this process for restaurant operators, we can now sync hours set in Toast with your Incentivio locations, minimizing the need for duplicate tasks. This guide will walk through the specifics of this update and how to set it up.

Feature Overview
This feature works by pulling the Pickup and Delivery hours from Toast's backend every ~15 minutes to check for updates to store hours. It will also recognize the Weekly Schedule for days when the location is closed and even holiday hours/temporary store closures.
There are two separate sections in Toast from which we can pull hours: Marketing Hours or Takeout & Third-Party Delivery Hours (Online Ordering Schedule).
Since it runs every 15 minutes, there may be a slight delay between Toast's update and the changes in Incentivio. It also requires that locations using automatic syncing for their store hours have auto menu syncing enabled for menus.
How to Setup Auto-Syncing Hours
This feature is set in Incentivio at the location level, so it is possible to have some locations using this feature while others do not. Here are the steps for enabling this:
- Log into the Incentivio admin portal.
- Navigate to Setup > Store Ordering Setup and select Edit next to the location where you want to enable this.
- Ensure auto menu syncing is enabled by navigating to Menu Import Configurations > Extended Attributes. There should be an attribute titled RUN_AUTO_IMPORTS, and it should be set to true, as seen below:
- Scroll down to Extended Attributes and expand this section. There are two separate attributes, depending on where hours will be pulled from. Only use one of the following attributes, NOT both:
Key Value Use TOAST_ONLINE_ORDERING_HOURS_SYNC true Pull hours from Takeout & Third-Party Delivery in Toast TOAST_MARKETING_HOURS_SYNC true Pull hours from the Marketing section in Toast - Click Save to save these changes.
- Repeat steps 2-5 for each location where this feature is being enabled.
Important Notes
- If either attribute is added, but no hours are set in Toast under the respective section, it will override all hours in Incentivio with blank hours. Make sure hours are appropriately set in Toast before enabling this feature!!!
- If both TOAST_ONLINE_ORDERING_HOURS_SYNC and TOAST_MARKETING_HOURS_SYNC are set to true, the Takeout & Third-Party Delivery hours (TOAST_ONLINE_ORDERING_HOURS_SYNC) will take precedence.
- Regardless of the option, store closing and overridden hours (such as for holidays) are pulled from the Takeout & Third-Party Delivery hours section.
- This is usually not as immediate as auto-86ing and auto menu imports and can take up to 15 minutes for the job to run.
