Toast POS - Loyalty Lookup

Toast’s Loyalty Lookup feature allows for you to search for your customers’ loyalty information right on your POS. By searching their name, email address, or phone number, you will be able to see their point totals, active offers, and more.


Before You Get Started

  1. Talk with your Implementation Manager or email support@incentivio.com about a timeline to enable this function. It can be enabled overnight, but they will need to make sure everything is configured correctly in the backend, so they will want at least a day to do this.
  2. If you currently have loyalty through Toast, turning on Loyalty Lookup will disable this function. Prepare to disconnect from Toast Loyalty by letting your customers know that you will be changing loyalty programs, but that they will not lose their points.
  3. Contact Toast for an export of your loyalty information. This is an excel/csv file that lists the customer’s full name, email address, and total number of points. Phone number is optional; if you have this information, it’s always good to include it, but the app only requires an email address to create an account. Send this file to your CSM.
  4. If you currently have loyalty through another provider, please contact them for an export of your customer’s loyalty information. Send the file to your CSM. You should also notify your customers in advance that you are switching programs, but they won’t lose their points.

 

Getting Set Up

  1. Your CSM will send a request to you and Toast asking to enable the Loyalty Lookup function at the locations you’ve requested. All you need to do is reply all and give your consent to enable Loyalty Lookup. Toast will then complete the integration.
  2. Once we have imported your customer’s loyalty information, they will receive an email from Incentivio notifying them of the new program. We will automatically create an account for them using the email address they provided. The email will instruct them to create a password for their account, which they can either do in the mobile app or through the web ordering link.

Using Loyalty Lookup

  1. On your Toast POS, you will see a button that says “Rewards”. Click on this, and then click on “Look Up Customer”. A screenshot of a cell phone

  2. From here, you will see a keypad. You can choose to search for the customer or scan in their information from their phone.A screenshot of a computer

  1. The “Lookup” button will direct you to a screen where you can search for the customer. If you are using an external scanner, use the "lookup" button to enable the scanner. Do not click SCAN 
  2. The “Scan” button will bring up a screen where you can scan the customer’s Loyalty Card. This is only to be used if you are using the Toast Devices camera as a scanner 
  1. Once you have looked up or scanned the customer, you will see a box with their loyalty information.

  1. From here, you can redeem any offers that the customer would like to use right from the POS and it will be applied to their check.
