Email Insights

The Email Insights dashboard provides visibility into email performance, deliverability, and recipient engagement across your messaging programs.

This feature allows operators to monitor how emails are delivered, identify potential delivery issues, and understand how recipients interact with their messages. The dashboard includes both deliverability metrics (whether emails reach recipient servers) and engagement metrics (how recipients interact with emails once delivered).

These insights can help operators:

  • Monitor the health of their email communications

  • Identify deliverability issues such as bounces or spam reports

  • Measure engagement through opens and clicks

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of different messaging programs

⚠️ Note:
Metrics labeled Lifetime represent cumulative performance and are not affected by the selected date filter. 

Data for this report spans back only to Jan 27th 2026. This report will not contain any metrics prior to that date. 

Email Insights Tabs

The Email Insights dashboard is organized into several tabs that allow operators to analyze performance across different types of email communications.

Overview

The Overview tab provides a high-level summary of overall email performance across all messaging types. It displays key deliverability and engagement metrics along with a trend graph showing how activity changes over time.

This tab is useful for quickly understanding overall email health and identifying performance trends across the selected timeframe.

Filters
The Overview tab allows operators to filter results by Time Period.

Messages

The Messages tab focuses on performance for standard customer messaging. Any Message communication that sent an email will appear within this report.

Operators can review deliverability and engagement metrics for these communications and identify how recipients interact with routine messages sent through the platform.

Offers

The Offers tab provides insights into emails related to both Loyalty Offers and Non-Points Related Offers. Any Offer or Loyalty Offer communication that sent an email will appear within this report. 

This view helps operators evaluate how well promotional messaging performs by analyzing engagement metrics such as opens and clicks, as well as monitoring delivery success.

The Offer tab allows operators to filter results by Time Period, Customer Location, Campaign, Offer and Message Status

Orders

The Orders tab shows email performance related to order communications such as confirmations and transactional messages. Usually this will contain your Order Received confirmation emails and potentially Order Complete emails if they are enabled. 

These emails typically have very high engagement since they are tied directly to customer transactions, and this tab helps operators verify that these important messages are successfully delivered.

Gift Cards

The Gift Cards tab provides insights into emails associated with gift card purchases, add values, and related notifications.

This view helps operators confirm that gift card communications are being successfully delivered and received by customers.

Security & Access

The Security & Access tab tracks performance for account-related communications such as verification emails, password resets, and other authentication messages.

Because these emails are critical for account access, monitoring their deliverability helps ensure customers can successfully verify and manage their accounts.

Email Metric Definitions

The following metrics appear across the Email Insights dashboard.

Reminder: Lifetime values represent metrics aggregated over the entire available history of the emailed activity and is not limited by the current date filters.

Deliverability Metrics

  • Emails Sent
    Total number of email messages that the system attempted to send, including messages that were not successfully delivered.

  • Emails Delivered
    Total number of emails accepted by the recipient’s mail server. This excludes bounced emails.

  • Lifetime Delivery Rate
    Percentage of emails successfully accepted by recipient mail servers.

  • Emails Deferred
    The recipient's email provider could not accept the message immediately. The system will retry delivery.

  • Emails Bounced
    Total number of emails rejected by the recipient's mail server and not delivered.

  • Hard Bounces
    Emails that permanently failed to deliver due to invalid or non-existent recipient addresses.

  • Soft Bounces
    Emails that temporarily failed due to issues such as full inboxes or temporary server problems.

  • Lifetime Bounce Rate
    Percentage of sent emails that were rejected by the recipient's mail server.

  • Emails Dropped
    Emails rejected by the email service provider before delivery during the selected timeframe.

Recipient Actions

  • Emails Opened
    Total number of times an email was opened, including multiple opens by the same recipient.

  • Unique Opens
    Number of distinct recipients who opened the email at least once.

  • Lifetime Open Rate
    Percentage of delivered emails that were opened.

  • Clicks
    Total number of times recipients clicked any link within the email. If an email contains multiple links, clicks are aggregated and not broken out by individual link.

  • Unique Clicks
    Number of distinct recipients who clicked a link at least once.

  • Lifetime Click Rate
    Percentage of delivered emails that generated at least one click.

  • Lifetime Click Through Rate
    Percentage of opened emails that resulted in a click.

  • Unsubscribes
    Total number of recipients who opted out of future emails.

  • Lifetime Unsubscribe Rate
    Percentage of delivered emails that resulted in an unsubscribe.

  • Spam Reports
    Total number of times recipients marked the email as spam.

  • Lifetime Spam Report Rate
    Percentage of sent emails that were marked as spam.
