Dashboard - SMS Report

The SMS Reports section of your dashboard gives you a detailed view of all SMS communications sent to your customers. You can track delivery performance across four categories: Marketing, Order Confirmation, Account Verification, and Guest Checkout Verification.

Navigating SMS Reports

To access SMS Reports, go to Reports > SMS Reports in your dashboard. Use the tabs at the top to switch between the four SMS categories:

  • Marketing — Promotional messages and offer-based campaigns sent to your customer segments
  • Order Confirmation — Transactional SMS sent to customers when an order is placed
  • Account Verification — SMS sent to verify customer accounts during registration or login
  • Guest Checkout Verification — SMS sent to verify guest customers during checkout

Filtering Your Data

At the top of each tab, you can apply filters to narrow your results:

  • Date Range — Select a custom date range to view SMS activity within a specific period. Click the date chip to adjust.
  • Locations — Available on Order Confirmation and Guest Checkout Verification tabs. Filter by a specific location or view all locations at once.

Use the Refresh button to reload the report with your current filter settings. Use Export (where available) to download the data.

Summary Metrics

Each tab displays two summary cards at the top of the page:

  • SMS Total — The total number of individual SMS messages sent to customers within the selected date range
  • SMS Segment Total — The total number of segments sent. A single SMS message may be split into multiple segments if it exceeds the standard character limit; this metric reflects the actual number of segments transmitted

Marketing Tab

The Marketing tab shows performance data for your promotional SMS campaigns and offers. Results are broken down by individual communication.

Columns in the table:

Column Description
Communication The name of the SMS campaign, message, or offer
Type The SMS type — MESSAGE, OFFER, or LOYALTY_OFFER
Start Date The date and time the communication was sent or scheduled
End Date The end date for the communication window, if applicable
Sent The number of SMS messages sent
Delivered The number of SMS messages successfully delivered
Delivery % The percentage of sent messages that were delivered. Displayed in green when delivery is strong
Total Segments The total number of message segments transmitted for this communication

See SMS - Marketing for details on this feature.

Order Confirmation Tab

The Order Confirmation tab shows delivery data for transactional order confirmation messages, broken down by location.

Columns in the table:

Column Description
Location The store or location that triggered the order confirmation SMS
Sent The number of order confirmation SMS messages sent
Delivered The number successfully delivered
Delivery % The percentage of sent messages that were delivered
Total Segments The total number of message segments transmitted

Note: Delivery rates can vary by location. If a location shows a significantly lower delivery percentage, it may indicate a configuration issue or carrier-related delivery problem worth investigating.

See SMS Feature Overview for details on this feature.

Account Verification Tab

The Account Verification tab provides aggregate metrics for SMS messages sent to verify customer accounts. Unlike the other tabs, this view shows totals only — there is no location-level breakdown.

Metrics displayed:

Metric Description
Account Verification SMS Total Total number of verification SMS messages sent
Account Verification SMS Segment Total Total segments sent across all verification messages
Account Verification SMS Sent Total number of verification SMS messages sent
Account Verification SMS Delivered Total messages successfully delivered
Account Verification Delivery Percentage Overall delivery rate as a percentage

See Account Verification for details on this feature.

Understanding Delivery Percentage

Delivery percentage reflects the ratio of delivered messages to sent messages. A few things to keep in mind:

  • 100% delivery rate (shown in green) means all sent messages were successfully delivered to recipients
  • Lower delivery rates can result from invalid phone numbers, carrier filtering, opt-outs, or network issues
  • Delivery percentage is calculated per communication or per location depending on the tab you are viewing
  • The SMS Segment Total may be higher than the SMS Total if any messages were long enough to be split into multiple segments by the carrier
